Attorney Janine Brown-Smith named Partner, March 2009

In March of 2009, Janine Brown-Smith became a Partner with Clark, Hunt, Ahern & Embry. At the Firm, Janine advocates for the rights of special needs children. Recognized as a leading authority in representing private special needs school on program, rate and regulatory matters before Massachusetts' Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Operational Services Division, Janine represents more than 100 such private special needs schools as well as their trade association in Massachusetts. Her practice includes representing private schools and human service agencies serving individuals with disabilities, as well as other non-profit and for-profit entities.

Janine is a graduate of New England Law/Boston and during the law school's centennial celebration she was featured as an alumnus whose personal story embodies the academic excellence and independent, pioneering spirit that defined The New England School of Law's first century.
